Pretty long recording of a morning in a scottish glen. You can hear different birds, but mostly the river tay, full of water, in the background and some water dripping of the trees. Sennheiser mkh40 microphones into fp24 preamp into the r-09hr recorder.
Snow and sleet showers on a porch rooftop. If you make use of this, please do credit me by including the following link. I’d also love to see / hear your project. Www. Eqavoxmusic. Com.
This is the sound of cold winter wind finding its way through the gaps in our living room window. The recording has been edited to remove long stretches of silence, and has had some light noise reduction applied. The noise floor is still quite high though, so maybe best to put this one fairly low in the mix. Recorded using a zoom h2 with its rear mics activated.
Wind whistling through a mountainside. Creating using my mouth, cockos reagate (reaper) and a cad u37 usb studio condenser microphone. Made for my d&d; podcast as the party went through a snowy canyon. Enjoy!.
Footsteps in the snow after a recent snowfall in january 2018. About a minute of walking in the snow with boots. This is a converted m4a file and so there may be a little degradation from the original. The original is posted with the same title as m4a.
A minute or so of loopable, stereo sound of a fireplace in the home of a pair of astronomers. Nice crackles in the high end, and some bassy flames with body. Enjoy and use as you like.

Since snow has been so widespread, thought it would be a good time to stockpile the beautiful crunchy, crisp sound of walking on it. This was recorded the evening of february 15, 2021 using my marantz pmd661 audio recorder and the bulletproof, dynamic beyerdynamic me58 microphone. The temperature was 2 degrees farenheit.
Snow is melting, falling from trees on a snowed soil. Birds, a plane at 2,00france, tronçais forest, 2005. Recorded with octava mc12 mounted in abortf setuprecorded on fostex fr2wave stereo 16 bits 48khz.
Recorded with a zoom h1 n. This is similar to rain-on-veranda-roof-and-window-glass. Wav except instead of recording on the window sill, the device is hand-held aloft in the middle of the veranda and closer to the ceiling. The rain on roof sound is louder and less rain can be heard striking the glass windows. It's a typical intense winter rain storm with wind gusts and driving rain in the month of january on vancouver island.
Traffic heard outside closed window during winter. Recorded in m/s with a schoeps cmit and cmc6 w/ mk8 capsule on a sound devices 633. Decoded to l/r stereo.
Rain in brittany on a windy winter day. I built this sound by mixing several field recordings made on the same spot: a small wood in the south of the region. These recordings had different focuses: some were more wind-oriented, others had more rain. . . Instead of publishing these individual takes, i chose to mix them in order to create a soundscape that would vary in density, depth and spacing. Recorded with a zoom h2n in x/y stereo mode. Mixed in nuendo 2. Mastered in sound forge 8.
I recorded this on the first day of winter, 2011 at a friend's house in buckley, wa. I am on the snare but had to play fairly quiet so i wouldn't drown out the other drums. If you use it please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).
